Quality Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control procedures and metrics to ensure consistent quality.
• Conduct regular inspections of the manufacturing process and finished parts to identify any defects or deviations from quality standards.
• Analyze the root cause of defects, document findings, and report issues to relevant teams.
• Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards, regulations, and customer specifications.
• Work with other teams (e.g., manufacturing, engineering) to implement corrective actions and improve quality.
• Identify areas for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance to Quality Systems / Compliance to Non-Conforming parts quarantine procedure and disposal of Non-Conforming products as per defined procedures.

Educational Qualification:

Must:

• BE / Diploma - Paint Technology / Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering

Desirable

• Six Sigma Certified , Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve quality issues.
• APQP & PPAP Documentation knowledge as Per ISO 9001:2015
• Knowledge of quality control methods, such as statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis.

Relevant Experience:

Must:

• Minimum of 03 years related experience in paint shop (especially liquid spray painting).
• Previous experience in a paint shop or related manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
• Experience with various inspection methods, including visual inspection, measurement, and testing.

Desirable:

• Working Experience in Defence Sector
• Ammunition or related industry experience.
• Prior
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with other teams.
• Ability to focus on the details and ensure the quality of work.
