Job Overview
The Sales Manager will lead a team of Sales Team Leaders and Executives to drive enrolment targets, optimize sales strategies, and expand NIITs market presence. This role focuses on performance management, process compliance, and scaling lead-generation initiatives across territories.
Key Outcomes
- Team Leadership: Oversee team performance to achieve monthly/quarterly enrolment and revenue targets.
- Strategy Execution: Design and implement BTL (Below-the-Line) sales campaigns (college drives, job fairs, employer partnerships).
- Market Expansion: Identify new micro-markets, unorganized sectors, and institutional partnerships to grow the prospect pipeline.
- Process Compliance: Ensure adherence to admission protocols, reporting, and fee collection processes.
Responsibilities
1. Team & Performance Management
- Mentor Team Leaders and Sales Executives to meet KPIs (lead generation, conversion, payment collection).
- Conduct weekly reviews of team performance, pipeline, and enrolment metrics.
- Train teams on counselling techniques, stakeholder engagement, and NIITs product portfolio.
2. Sales Strategy & Growth
- Develop territory-specific plans to penetrate tier-2/tier-3 cities, employment exchanges, and colleges.
- Collaborate with Marketing for localized campaigns (digital, on-ground, referrals).
- Pilot new lead-generation channels (e.g., corporate tie-ups, alumni networks).
3. Operational Excellence
- Monitor daily/weekly sales reports and CRM updates for accuracy.
- Ensure 100% compliance with admission criteria and documentation.
- Resolve escalations related to student admissions or fee disputes.
4. Stakeholder Engagement
- Build relationships with colleges, employers, and government bodies (e.g., employment exchanges) to secure partnerships.
- Represent NIIT at industry events to enhance brand visibility.
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 8+ years in sales, with 3+ years in managing teams (preferably in education/edtech/training).
- Leadership: Proven ability to drive targets through teams.
- Analytical Skills: Comfort with sales data, forecasting, and ROI analysis.
- Travel: Willingness to travel 50% of the time to monitor field activities.
- Education: Graduation (MBA preferred).
