Senior Architect

Role & responsibilities

Job Purpose

The incumbent is Adani Airports Architect with hands-on expertise to provide support to the Head of design to establish systems and processes, governance, and assurance along with design standardization across Adani Airports

Functional Competencies

• Overall years of experience shall be minimum 12 years; minimum 4 recent years in Airport related business and/or in large scale infrastructure projects
• Experience in design management of terminals – Passenger, GA, VVIP and ATC Complex with an Airport Operator / as Airport Operator’s representative is preferred but not mandatory
• Greenfield / Brownfield project development experience in Airports is preferred but not mandatory
• Innovative design thinking & practice featuring sustainability & technology advancements in modern aviation is preferred
• Experience with globally renowned iconic Airport structures at or equivalent to Changi / Heathrow Airport, etc. is an advantage
• Capable of coordinating the design of a Project along with the Head of design
• Exhibits sense of aesthetics and can conceptualize the look & feel of all high-end interior and exterior finishes
• Experience in handling the stakeholders is preferred
• Design reflections on Passenger-first, Revenue maximization, Operational efficiency, Security-tight, Maintenance friendly, etc.
• Adaptation to Adani’s growing Airport’s business portfolio & its dynamics
• LEED AP- Sustainability, and or climate adaptation experience preferred
• Conversant with applicable local and international statutory norms, regulations, etc.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder relationship management skills
• Should be familiar with application of design software’s like AutoCAD, Revit etc.

Key Accountabilities

Systems & Processes

Support head of design

• To implement processes in alignment to Design organization's strategic goals
• To implement process measurement systems that align with organizational goals
• To educate and organize managers so that they will manage processes effectively

Governance & Assurance

• Support the head of design to govern & ensure Adani Promoters' requirements, Regulator's requirements, Concession Agreement / OMDA Agreement requirements, Finishes Quality requirements etc.

Design Standardization

• To support head of design to benchmark best industry practices and standardize design elements across Adani Airports to strengthen brand identity

Operations

• Lead the asset design managers across Adani Airports in generating design delivery strategies, and system improvements. Assess and mitigate strengths and weaknesses of teams within the design organization
• Create systems and implement review mechanisms for progressive inputs on Design
• Governing the implementation of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) including defining TATs (Turn Around Time) for all activities to ensure consistency, seamless integration, timely deliveries, and standardization of activities
• Develop close interaction with internal stakeholders to enable interdepartmental goals, objectives, and timely deliverables
• Develop Look-ahead scenarios to ensure timely course corrections critical for operation of design organization
• Responsible to ensure timely and accurate deliveries by the design organization, taking cognizance of other internal customer and stakeholder requirements
• Conduct regular mission-meetings to ensure work is in progress as scheduled, ascertain future slippages and initiate corrective actions in advance and monitor the same for implementation
• Track project progress in Design Review meetings by Asset design managers periodically
• Generate reports and give presentations across departments and to management as applicable
• Report all activities to the reporting manager to ensure transparency in working
