Senior Engineer (EHS)

Role & responsibilities

• Delivering safety Induction training and Daily Safety Specific Toolbox Talk to workforce as well as engineer on different topics.
• Monitored Critical Activities on site & corrected the unsafe practices followed by the workforce.
• Ensure implementation and Monitoring of Permit to Work System.
• Provide Technical Safety Training on firefighting, Scaffolding, Material Handling Procedure, Electrical safety, Excavation safety, Working at height, Confined space entry, Rescue etc.
• Updating the observations on daily basis in observation book for records.
• Identification of Hazard, Risk, and Unsafe condition, Unsafe act & provide rectification immediately.
• Near miss reporting & Investigation to avoid any major accidents.
• Daily safety patrolling for evaluates the contractor safety performance.
• Periodic inspection of fire extinguisher.
• Check the HIRA, JSA, METHOD STATEMENT etc. of all activities for better safety improvement. Governing process through Gensuite application.
• Periodic inspection of PPEs, lifting tools tackles Electrical equipment, Crane, hydra, travelling & Transport vehicles & machineries etc.
• Monthly Safety meeting with contractors to develop a good safety culture at site.
• Implementation and monitoring of the company safety policy.
• Develop emergency preparedness through mock drills and training.
• Carry out periodic assessment and auditing, to ensure the system effectiveness.
• Legal Compliance Related to Environment & Safety
• Should have sound knowledge of Hazardous waste Management, XGN etc.
• Celebration of various days and weeks for creating OH&S awareness among employee

Preferred candidate profile

Candidate should have experience in chemical handling, safety systems & procedure, Fire protection systems, ISO 14001, 45001 & ESG.

To monitor & implement the EHS functions, systems & practices at shop floor to achieve the aim of our EHS Policy i.e. ZERO INCIDENT
