Senior System Administrator

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a talented and motivated System Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both Linux and Windows systems administration, ensuring the reliability, security, and optimal performance of our IT infrastructure.

You are great at:

• Perform regular system updates, patches, and maintenance tasks for both Linux and Windows environments, ensuring systems are up to date and secure.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations for maximum efficiency.
• Implement and maintain security protocols, firewalls, and antivirus software to safeguard the organization's data and systems.
• Investigate security breaches and incidents and implement necessary security measures.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls for various systems and applications.
• Assist users with account-related issues and password resets.
• Develop and execute data backup and recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Perform regular testing of backup systems and disaster recovery procedures.
• Assist in network configuration, including LAN/WAN setup and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and work with network engineers to resolve complex problems.
• Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and policies.
• Create and update system and network diagrams as needed.
• Implement monitoring tools to proactively identify and address system issues.
• Configure alerts for critical events and incidents.
• Collaborate with third-party vendors for hardware and software procurement and support.

What it takes:

• B.S / B.E. in computer Science or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience in Systems Administration and supporting Commercial environments.
• Operating Systems: Advanced administrations skills on Red hat Linux, Windows.
• Systems Admin experience on Private Cloud infra setup and GPC & AWS infrastructure setups.
• Experience Working on VMware, NetBackup, F5 load balancers, DNS, Networking.
• Expertise on Iaac concept and strong in coding PowerShell / shell scripting, Python scripting, Terraform.
• Experience in developing and Deploying Ansible playbooks by integrating with Linux administration modules.
• Desirable additional experience working on Storage Systems, San Switches, ESX Clusters.
• Good analyzing & communication skills, self-motivated and passionate.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues in high pressure situations, resolving problems in a timely manner and keeping stake holders involved/updated.
