Specialist Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Production Planning

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts, considering historical data, seasonality, and external factors.
• Translate demand forecasts into production plans, considering capacity constraints and material availability.
• Create detailed production schedules, ensuring timely and efficient execution of the plan.
• Analyze production capacity and identify potential bottlenecks to optimize resource allocation and ensure on-time delivery.
• Manage inventory levels to balance customer service with holding costs, considering lead times and safety stock requirements.
• Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure alignment and consensus on the production plan.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the planning and control cycle.
• Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of S&OP and PPC processes and identify areas for improvement.

Educational Qualification:

Must:

• BE / B. Tech Mechanical / Electrical Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Supply Chain Management / Operations Management

Desirable

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in planning and scheduling software.
• Experience in working with MRP or ERP systems.

Relevant Experience:

Must:

• BE - Minimum of 10 years related experience
• Experience in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Production Planning & Control (PPC).

Desirable:

• Working Experience in Defence Sector
• Ammunition or related industry experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
