Sr. Fire Fighter || Mangalore/Guwahati Airport
Job Description
Purpose
The Fire Fighter will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the airport facilities, personnel, and passengers. They will respond to fire and rescue emergencies, conduct regular inspections, and participate in fire prevention programs to mitigate potential risks.
Experience
Fresher can also apply, 1-6 years of experience in firefighting and rescue operations, preferably in an airport or aviation environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of airport facilities to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and protocols.
- Respond to fire and rescue emergencies, including aircraft incidents, structural fires, and medical emergencies.
- Operate and maintain fire fighting and rescue equipment such as fire trucks, hoses, and breathing apparatus.
- Participate in fire prevention programs, including training sessions, drills, and public awareness campaigns.
- Coordinate with airport personnel, air traffic control, and emergency response teams to ensure a prompt and effective response to incidents.
- Document all fire and rescue activities, maintain accurate records, and prepare incident reports as necessary.
- Stay updated with the latest fire fighting techniques, equipment, and regulations to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with other emergency services and agencies to develop and execute emergency response plans.
- Participate in the development and implementation of airport emergency preparedness and response procedures.
Education Qualification
High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certification in fire fighting and rescue operations is preferred.
Certification required
Certification in fire fighting and rescue operations from a recognized training institute or authority.
