Responsibilities

The Senior Associate of the Tax Documents Team will be responsible for the operational oversight and strategic maintenance of the Tax Documents function servicing both the Global Tax Reporting and Tax Operations groups. The Senior Manager will report to the Assistant Vice President of Tax Operations in Los Angeles, CA, USA.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead data maintenance efforts of all Tax, FATCA, and CRS data points within the internal entity management system, partnering with third-party vendors to complete and verify such data;
  • Assign team members to prepare responses to internal and external stakeholders regarding tax related inquiries received by the shared inbox on a daily, rush, or prioritized basis;
  • Facilitate team delegation of drafting, review, and documentation of CRS self-certifications, Forms 8832, SS-4, and withholding forms (i.e. W-8, W-8IMY, W-8BENE, W-9, etc), name change letters and ad-hoc tax documents;
  • Review and assess the tax documentation reports on a daily basis to ensure accuracy and identify any trends or anomalies, provide insights and recommendations based on findings;
  • Ensure compliance with international tax regulations by managing the scoping, due diligence, and reporting of FATCA and CRS requirements;
  • Serve as local people manager for Tax Documents team;
  • Develop operational checklists and procedural documentation;
  • Proactively identify and suggest improvements to streamline workflows and automate manual reporting;
  • Participate in projects and continuous process improvements for key deliverables; and
  • Perform additional tasks and projects as necessary.


Qualifications

  • Experience in Tax, Business Operations
  • 8+ years of analytical experience within a professional firm
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of tax forms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid analytical skills and ability to understand and resolve complex problems
  • Proven ability to manage tasks with competing priorities and deadlines, independently determining order of priority and self-initiating other value-added tasks
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat; Salesforce and DocuSign a plus
