The Test Architect is a technical role that is responsible for providing technical leadership and strategic direction across all products in the Global R&D Testingorganization.
Responsibilities include developing reusable test infrastructures, evaluating various tools frameworks, creating test automation PoCs for emerging or existing products, mentoring and training the Testing team members.
This role also acts as a Test Automation Evangelist liaising cross-functionally with Engineering, Product Management to improve test coverage and effectiveness across the organization's product portfolio.
Lead the architecture, design and implementation of Test Automation infrastructures for all Global R&D products
Assess and evangelize the benefits of automation, where appropriate, cross functionally within the department and with other teams across the organization
Increase the ROI by developing reusable common test modules/ components, utilizing out-of-the-box test libraries
Mentor, train, hire & groom next generation Test Automation leaders and SMEs for the team
Sets test automation standards and strategies for the team
Collaborate with application development, architecture, IT infrastructure, and business operations teams to lead the definition of test automation requirements for both new releases and application/system updates.
Monitor and manage continuous integration environments
Devise test methodologies and test strategies that provide complete coverage of requirements using industry best practices
Responsible for overall quality of the product and the process involved to plan/groom the in-depth functionalities of the product
Give continuous feedback and training to Testers within the team on their test design and Test Automation, including performing Code Reviews on the Test Automation check-ins
Work closely with other teams, Product Owners, Dev Engineers, Ops, DBA and Scrum Master to enable the team to deliver to production and provide support
Assist Team leads with testing estimates, especially where Test Automation is concerned
Responsible for metrics and QA artifacts, and maintaining Audit Compliance
Conduct formal and informal training sessions regularly for the entire Testing Team, and occasionally to other departments

Be creative, independent, self-motivated and willing to learn new technologies
Knowledge. SKills & Attributes:
7-10 years of building test automation frameworks for end-to-end testing of software products, including web applications testing, web services, and mobile
Experience working with multiple software validation lifecycles and with accepted software testing methodologies.
Must have a thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle, and experience with the testing process throughout all SDLC phases.
Must have excellent analytical skills with proven ability to comprehend business requirements.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
Demonstrate extreme attention to detail and organization in all aspects of work.
Must have excellent written communication skills, including the ability to effectively document procedures, processes and results.
Proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment, providing back-up support to team members, and establishing / maintaining effective work relationships with co-workers within and across functional areas.
Must have very strong skills with Microsoft Office applications.
Must be comfortable working with business users and technical teams.
Must have demonstrated experience interfacing, influencing and negotiating with business users and technical teams.
Familiarity with SQL Queries is a plus.
Working knowledge of Visual Basic is a plus.
Familiarity with GCP and 21 CFR Part 11 is a plus.
Familiarity with defect tracking software is a plus.
Familiarity with test automation, load/performance testing, and test case management software a plus.
