Knowledge about typical Finite Elements.
Knowledge in FE model Quality criteria

Knowledge in Automotive Systems / Vehicle Structure
Knowledge in building FE without CAD
Knowledge in modifying the FE mesh for alternative design
Software skills required for the job :
ANSA
Should be able to communicate and report clearly to the Reporting engineer.
