Job Description

Manage areas of profit, food costing, stock, wastage control, hygiene practices and training within the kitchen.
Review food and beverage purchases.
Develop and standardize recipes.
Maintain kitchen equipments.
Plan and create special menu items and determine pricing.
Manage food preparation and delegate work to other chefs and cooks during the restaurant's busy times.
May also be in charge of hiring and training new kitchen personnel.
Supervise & give performance review for kitchen staff and take disciplinary action when necessary.
Advocate sound financial/business decision making.
