Procurement Officer (Vegetables Procurement from Farmers)

Procurement Officer (LPO) will roll under and work with the Supply Chain Manager to ensure timely and cost-efficient procurement of raw materials: waste plastics from the informal sector. Raw material sourcing is the single most important factor in determining the unit economics of our business, and LPOs will ensure desired quantities and materials of plastic waste are sourced in time for customer deliveries.
LPOs will also assist the Supply Chain Manager in building market intelligence in scrap plastic trading
The selected candidate will be required to
• be a self-starter, independent worker, and a hustler
• have a keen eye for good trading
• At least 50% travel per month
Good candidates will have:
• At least 3 years of professional experience in informal procurement or sales, strong preference for candidates who have worked in FMCG, Social Sector and Micro-finance.
