Cumulus Systems, Inc. was founded by Arun Ramachandran and Ajit Bhave and incorporated in 2006. In 2012, Hitachi Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd acquired Cumulus Systems, Inc. After the acquisition, Cumulus Systems became a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi Systems.
