Journey
Well, I started learning about coding in my second year itself. I enrolled in a course for Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) with Java from Coding Ninjas, which was incredibly beneficial for me. This helped me to remain consistent and deepen my understanding of DSA. Additionally, I was also learning about web development through YouTube and Udemy. Then, in my third year, I began working on projects to enhance my resume. I was also selected as a Teaching Assistant at Coding Ninjas. This experience significantly strengthened my foundational knowledge of DSA by assisting students with their coding problems. During this time, I also revisited all the fundamentals of computer science, such as Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs), Database Management Systems (DBMS), Operating Systems, and Computer Networks. By the end of my third year, I secured an internship at ADP Private Limited. Eventually, I received a Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) from this organization.

Tip
Tip

Tip 1: Focus on being consistent in DSA. Many times, we feel that we are not able to understand, but still be consistent and solve at least one question daily. It's all about PRACTICE.

Tip 2: Focus on learning some DEVELOPMENT skills as well. DSA alone cannot help you.

Tip 3: Mention at least two projects in your resume that you know very well.

Web problem/projects1

1. Java, Web Development, JavaScript, and SQL

At first the interviewer asked me about my academics and all the skills that I learnt during my college days. Then he started with the OOPs concept questions. After this I was asked questions on Java. Then he asked me to write a code for palindromic strings.

After this, we shifted to web development as mentioned in my projects. He asked me questions about my projects. Following that, he asked me certain questions about JavaScript. He presented specific scenarios where I had to explain the best JavaScript feature or solution that I would implement in a particular case.

Next, I also mentioned databases. So, he asked me 2-3 SQL queries as well.

This round went really well. I answered almost every question. Later on the same day, I received the email for the next round.
