In my 7th semester I was preparing for placements and I got to know about Capgemini hiring. I was not sure on how to appear so I planned to sit in the hiring process. Since it was oncampus hiring google forms were circulated and all applicants need to submit resume along with this I was also asked to fill details (CGPA, branch, any backlogs etc.) on superset. The hiring process was quick and my college TnP was also providing updates actively. I asked my other friends who had already appeared in interviews and started my revision for online assessment.
Application story
I applied and submitted my resume and soon I recieved online test link. First round was an online round and the process was well conducted and quick.
Why selected/rejected for the role?
I was able to clear the first round because I did some practice on apptitute, reasoning questions and also prepared questions from my subjects which was helpful. For other rounds also I referred my notes and did revision and covered some previoursly asked questions.

After submitting details on Superset and submitting resume I received test online assessment slot which was in the morning 9AM. I logged in 5 minutes before my slot time and took paper pen along with me. 3 questions were given to code along with some MCQs.

‘N’ people are standing in a circle numbered from ‘1’ to ‘N’ in clockwise order. First, the person numbered 1 will proceed in a clockwise direction and will skip K-1 persons including itself and will kill a Kth person. Now (K+1)th person from 1 will start and will kill the Kth person from itself.
You have to find the position of the last person surviving with respect to initial numbering.
Note:
A person can also kill himself.

This was a 3 hours long round, it have many section. It started with some apptitude, logical, reasoning, grammer question. The other section was on pseudo code, other section was on image question which looked easy but was time taking. There were some pattern based problems. Then there were gane-based questions, blood relation problems. It was a very long round and it felt so difficult to solve so many problems in less time. For every sections there was time limit and to solve so many problems in less time was little tricky for me. The third last section was on grammer and English where few sentences were give and we need to spot the mistake, few on synonym and antonyms and some paragraph based questions. The second round was a very different round where few number will blink on screen 6 times and then you need to tell exactly the number sequence, similarly few color dots will appear on screen and you need to tell where the dot appeared with it color. The last round was a behavioral competency round where situations were given and you need to select response similar you what you think. Except four rounds all other rounds where non-technical rounds where pattern, observations, image etc based questions were asked.
1. Aptitude Question
Few numeber sequence were give along with next possible sequence.
Problem approach
Tip 1 : Try to observe pattern of number and predict the next.
Tip 2 : Don't guess the patter, find and then be sure
Tip 3 : Don't spend much time, keep track of time
2. Verbal ability question
Antonyms and Synonyms based questions.
Problem approach
Tip 1 : If you know you know, there is no logic making so be quick.
Tip 2 : If not sure don't spend much time, guess and more (if no negative marking)
Tip 3 : Try to refer some questions before test.
3. Aptitude Question
Few images where given along with next image pattern.
Problem approach
Tip 1 : Try to have keen observation, the pattern is always hidden
Tip 2 : If needed draw patterns.
4. Aptitude Questions
Few blood relation question, direction based question like if you walk 30 degree north then turn to south and then to left and then 40 degree right and now tell in which direction you are standing compared to starting point.
Problem approach
Tip 1 : Try to use pen and paper to draw your answer.
Tip 2 : Solve few questions before assessment.
5. Aptitude Question
There were question where few color dots will blink on screen and we need to the pattern.
Problem approach
Tip 1 : Have sharp observation skills.
Tip 2 : Concrete concentration is needed

This round was an HR+TR round. I was first asked to tell something about myself, I was nervous in the beginning but after sometime I became comfortable. My HR asked basic questions to make me feel comfortable. HR was polite and after a little introduction we moved to technical talk. Then at the end I was asked my prefered location and HR asked if I want to ask anything. The round was smooth and well conducted.
1. Basic HR Question
Give an introduction about yourself.
Problem approach
Tip 1 : Start with a warm intro, mention about college, projects done, hobbies, any extra achievements
Tip 2 : Mention about internships (if any) else mention projects (if any)
Tip 3 : Discuss a little about hobbies and intrest but not much and say things alinged to the role
2. Technical Question
Few SQL questions were asked like DDL, DML queries,
Problem approach
Tip 1 : Take a pause, think and then speak. Don't rush to make an impression.
If any doubt regarding question, feel free ask.
3. DBMS Question
What is normalization wth example and explanation.
Problem approach
Tip 1 : I mention 1NF and an example, I moved to 2NF with an explained example and metioned the difference between 1NF and 2NF and similarly for other forms.
Tip 2 : Always give exampled, it shows how well you understant the topic
4. Basic HR Question
HR asked about the technologies I have worked on.
Problem approach
Tip 1 : Always mention your learning, without telling HR will never know. I mentioned App Dev, Web Dev and few others.
Tip 2 : I mentioned my final year project along with my contribution.
Tip 3 : If any other area (internship, project, contributions) where your learning is used, try to mention
5. Basic HR Question
What are your preferred locations?
Problem approach
Tip 1 : I mentioned I have been to 7 schools since I am from Army family and I would love to go to new loactions.
Tip 2 : If any location on your list, do mention with a reason (if any).
Tip 3 : Be calm and smile.
6. Basic HR Question

Problem approach
Tip 1 : I asked about technologies new joiners are given.
Tip 2 : I asked few questions about how things work in a company.
Tip 3 : Be calm and try to ask few question, it shows your intrest in that role
