Cognizant came during college placements for 2 roles for freshers - GenC and GenC next. The CTC were 4.5 and 6.5 respectively. The initial phase was the online written test which covered basic english, quants, reasoning, maths, some computer science theory and basic code writing/code correction. After this the interview round held, interview was 1 round itself. After these two phases, the successful candidates were selected for Cognizant.
Application story
The interview came in after the written round. Many candidates were also disqualified for mal practice so this should be avoided. The Interview lasted about 45 mins.
Why selected/rejected for the role?
The main thing is confidence. People with lots of knowledge can get rejected as they lack communication and confidence.
English should be proper during interviews.
Preparation

Topics: C, C++, Data structures, Java, OOPS, Computer Networks, Operating System
Tip 1 : The college provides the reference materials for written rounds, use them
Tip 2 : Prepare any one coding language, C++ preferably
Tip 3 : During interviews, some real life situation based logic questions can be asked
Application process
Where: Campus
Eligibility: CGPA above 6
Tip 1: No need to include all programming language, just include 2 or 3 and be very prepared with them
Tip 2: Project based questions are also asked in interviews so be through with projects mentioned.
