Journey
EY (GDS) came to campus. This was the first company to visit the college, so it was my first experience. At first, I was anxious and didn’t know what to do, but then my friends and seniors guided me on how to proceed. It was quite a roller coaster ride for me. There were four rounds, and after that, I got selected. I can't believe I cracked it on my first attempt.
Application story
It was an on-campus recruitment, so we received the form from the college. First, they shortlisted candidates based on their resumes. After that, we had an online assessment (OA), followed by a communication round (online). Then, candidates were shortlisted from the second round for the technical round, and finally, there was the HR round.

It was a communication round. I had to repeat sentences that I heard, select synonyms and antonyms, and read sentences displayed on the screen. I was also asked to convert sentences from active to passive voice and vice versa. Additionally, I had to complete sentences by speaking the missing word based on the audio to make them meaningful. There were comprehensive summary-based questions, and I had to speak for about five minutes on a given topic.

  2. Academic Questions: Questions related to my studies.
  3. Aptitude Puzzle: Logical problem-solving. (The puzzle was a reasonable logical question on profit and loss.)

Note: As it was an HR cum GD round, 9 students were together in a cabin. Since it was a pool campus recruitment, with many students present, they started with the GD to select the best candidates and avoid wasting time on technical and HR rounds later.
