My college alumni helped me get this opportunity. I messaged in the alumni group, and one of them responded and forwarded my resume to his HR team. After a few hours, I received a call from HR, where he briefed me about the role and interview process. Soon after, I received the interview link and attended the first round of interview.

Why selected/rejected for the role?

Unfortunately, I was rejected. I received feedback from the interviewer, and he mentioned that I was average in Python and couldn’t handle data manipulation. For SQL, I had good theoretical knowledge but lacked problem-solving skills. Similarly, for ML algorithms, I couldn’t explain the intuition behind them.

The interview was scheduled in the afternoon. The environment was professional yet relaxed. No major interruptions occurred. The interviewer was friendly, patient, and encouraging, making the 60-minute face-to-face discussion smooth and insightful.

1. Data Manipulation

What is pandas?

I was given a data set which consisted of battery id, range, cost and then I asked to do data manipulation like sorting them through pandas in ascending and descending order of range and cost.
