Journey
From the first semester of my B.tech I started doing CP because my college has a great coding environment. I started doing HackerEarth till the first sem end then I started doing CodeChef because one of my friends suggested me and from there I start enjoying CP. My 3rd sem goes in web development and codeforces and from 4th sem onward I started doing leetcode and interviewbit as internship season is near. I had completed interviewbit in the 4th sem and unluckily I didn't get intern from that point, I started leetcode seriously till 6th sem and finally got offered in FlipKart

InfosysTata Consultancy Services (TCS)Uber

You are given an array 'ARR' of 'N' distinct positive integers. You are also given a non-negative integer 'B'.

Your task is to return all unique combinations in the array whose sum equals 'B'. A number can be chosen any number of times from the array 'ARR'.

Elements in each combination must be in non-decreasing order.

For example:
Let the array 'ARR' be [1, 2, 3] and 'B' = 5. Then all possible valid combinations are-

(1, 1, 1, 1, 1)
(1, 1, 1, 2)
(1, 1, 3)
(1, 2, 2)
(2, 3)

A permutation is a mathematical technique that determines the number of possible arrangements in a set when the order of the arrangements matters. A string of length 'N' has 'N'! permutations.

Given an array of distinct integers, return all the possible permutations of the array.

Example:
'ARR[]' = [1, 2]

The size of the array is 2. So, the total number of permutations is 2! = 2. The possible permutations are [1, 2] (the array itself) and [2,1] where the position of element 1 in the original array is swapped with element 2 and vice-versa.
Note:
1. All the numbers in the array are unique.

2. You can return the answer in any order.

3. The original array is also a permutation of the given array.

1. Merge Two Sorted Linked Lists

Asked in companies
DunzoAmazonCIS - Cyber Infrastructure

You are given two sorted linked lists. You have to merge them to produce a combined sorted linked list. You need to return the head of the final linked list.

Note:

The given linked lists may or may not be null.

For example:

If the first list is: 1 -> 4 -> 5 -> NULL and the second list is: 2 -> 3 -> 5 -> NULL

The final list would be: 1 -> 2 -> 3 -> 4 -> 5 -> 5 -> NULL
Problem approach

1. Let Linked Lists Be
1->2->5->6
3->4

1. a = 1 , b = 3
now a < b
c = a , work on (2->5->6 , 3->4)

2. a = 2 , b = 3
now a < b
c = a , work on (5->6 , 3->4)

and so on ..

Ninjaland is a country in the shape of a 2-Dimensional grid 'GRID', with 'N' rows and 'M' columns. Each point in the grid has some cost associated with it.

Find a path from top left i.e. (0, 0) to the bottom right i.e. ('N' - 1, 'M' - 1) which minimizes the sum of the cost of all the numbers along the path. You need to tell the minimum sum of that path.

Note:
You can only move down or right at any point in time.

The interviewer was very humble and generous.

1. Basic HR Question

Tell me about yourself.

Problem approach

Tip 1) Do not ask the interviewer what he wants to know about you. You may be asking genuinely, but that just
sounds rude.
Tip 2) Don't get panic because in this situation you can't impress the HR.
Tip 3) Do not speak what is already there in the resume. The interviewer wants to know what they have not
seen on the resume. And do not speak about anything personal.
Tip 4) Introduce yourself by including certain adjectives like problem-solving, innovation and tech-savvy,
creative, quick learner, etc. that best describes you in your professional life to boost your chances.

2. Basic HR Question

Why you want to join Flipkart rather then big Tech MNC’s

Problem approach

Tip 1 : Always show them you are only focused on learning.
Tip 2 : Also make them feel that you will stay longer in their company

3. Basic HR Question

He also asked why you don’t do business(as my family is a business family).

Problem approach

Tip 1 : I told them that I want to make my own life and only by myself
Tip 2 : Also I make them feel that have self learning ability.

4. Basic HR Question

Why are you interested in this position?

Problem approach

Tip 1 : HR pros are likely trying to get you to reiterate your strengths and highlight your passion for both the company and the role. Talk about your past experiences and how they apply to this job, and link what you’re saying back to what they’ve said and to the job description.

Tip 2 : Don't get panic, and express your interest in the field as well as in the company.

Here's your problem of the day
