I was in my 7th semester, holding offers from Accenture (ASE) and LTIMindtree, and I was tense and confused. I had projects in React and Node, and basic knowledge of DSA.
Infosys came for the Specialist Programmer role, but the condition was that you first had to qualify the OA and interview for the Systems Engineer role to be eligible for the upgrade test for the DSE/SP role.
So, to be eligible for the upgrade test in the future, I applied for this hiring through on-campus.
Why selected/rejected for the role?
I had the answers to CSE fundamentals at my fingertips.
Also, my math has been very strong since my school days, so I was able to tackle the reasoning and math sections in the OA.
Preparation
Duration: 1 month
Topics: Strings, Arrays, Aptitude, Grammar, Reasoning, OOPS
Tip 1: Be thorough with your resume and everything mentioned in it.
Tip 2: Go through the most asked questions related to the tech stack mentioned in your resume.
Tip 3: Be thorough with the core fundamentals of computer science.

I appeared for a 120-minute online assessment consisting of 60 questions divided across multiple sections: Logical Ability (15 questions, 25 mins), Technical Ability (10 questions, 35 mins), Verbal (20 questions, 20 mins), Pseudo Code (5 questions, 10 mins), Puzzle Solving (4 questions, 10 mins), English Grammar (5 questions, 10 mins), and English Writing (1 question, 10 mins).
Each section had a fixed time limit and was conducted sequentially. I had to complete one section before moving to the next, with no option to switch between sections or revisit previous ones.
