Journey
I applied through Naukri.com the last summer when I completed my 3rd year of Btech. I used to practice DSA questions through different online coding platforms. I also had some flutter projects before applying for the summer internship. I got a mail from HR regarding the first round of Interviews, where I was asked 2 DSA questions i.e. 2 sum-problem and Maximum sum subarray, which I was able to do in 20 mins, and after that 2 days later, I had my final interview cum HR discussion where they asked to print rhombus pattern and a few DSA questions related to Array, linked list and Trees. And finally, they asked some HR questions such as where do you find yourself after 5 yrs and all.

You're given a string 'S' consisting of "{", "}", "(", ")", "[" and "]" .

Return true if the given string 'S' is balanced, else return false.

For example:
'S' = "{}()".

There is always an opening brace before a closing brace i.e. '{' before '}', '(' before ').
So the 'S' is Balanced.

Given a singly linked list of integers. Your task is to return the head of the reversed linked list.

For example:
The given linked list is 1 -> 2 -> 3 -> 4-> NULL. Then the reverse linked list is 4 -> 3 -> 2 -> 1 -> NULL and the head of the reversed linked list will be 4.

1. Pair Sum

Easy

You are given an integer array 'ARR' of size 'N' and an integer 'S'. Your task is to return the list of all pairs of elements such that each sum of elements of each pair equals 'S'.

Note:

Each pair should be sorted i.e the first value should be less than or equals to the second value.

Return the list of pairs sorted in non-decreasing order of their first value. In case if two pairs have the same first value, the pair with a smaller second value should come first.
Problem approach

The idea is to use the two-pointer technique. But for using the two-pointer technique, the array must be sorted. Once the array is sorted the two pointers can be taken which mark the beginning and end of the array respectively. If the sum is greater than the sum of those two elements, shift the right pointer to decrease the value of the required sum and if the sum is lesser than the required value, shift the left pointer to increase the value of the required sum.

2. Maximum Subarray Sum

HCL TechnologiesInformaticaSamsung

You are given an array 'arr' of length 'n', consisting of integers.

A subarray is a contiguous segment of an array. In other words, a subarray can be formed by removing 0 or more integers from the beginning and 0 or more integers from the end of an array.

Find the sum of the subarray (including empty subarray) having maximum sum among all subarrays.

The sum of an empty subarray is 0.

Example :
Input: 'arr' = [1, 2, 7, -4, 3, 2, -10, 9, 1]

Output: 11

Explanation: The subarray yielding the maximum sum is [1, 2, 7, -4, 3, 2].
Problem approach

The idea of Kadane’s algorithm is to maintain a variable max_ending_here that stores the maximum sum contiguous subarray ending at current index and a variable max_so_far stores the maximum sum of contiguous subarray found so far, Everytime there is a positive-sum value in max_ending_here compare it with max_so_far and update max_so_far if it is greater than max_so_far.

Initialize the variables max_so_far = INT_MIN and max_ending_here = 0
Run a for loop from 0 to N-1 and for each index i:
Add the arr[i] to max_ending_here.
If max_so_far is less than max_ending_here then update max_so_far to max_ending_here.
If max_ending_here < 0 then update max_ending_here = 0
Return max_so_far
