Journey
I am 22 years old. I am working as a software developer in an MNC. Currently, my in-hand salary is great. I am living a decent life in Kolkata. I don't feel shy in saying I am a small-town girl born into a middle-class family. My parents' only motive was to provide their children with the best education possible. This made me ambitious and industrious since childhood. I got 1st rank in my Ist class and this was statistically unchanged over the years. After my 10th standard, I chose Science and wanted to prepare for IIT JEE. But at that time, there was no coaching in my town. I decided to prepare for my board exam so that I could get admission to some renowned University. I did my best and got 92 %. I gave IIT JEE mains exam, but I could not clear the exam. My teachers advised me to drop one year and prepare for IIT-JEE in Kota. I had two options - To pack my bags for Kota. Or to get admission to MAKAUT via WB joint. I had to drop the idea of studying at top colleges. I was dispirited by the circumstances. I felt like all my hard work over the years went in vain. After the 12th board, where my friends were getting presents for getting passed or a good performance, I did not get the education of my choice. But, I didn't give up. I started trying local colleges for B.Tech. I was admitted there and started giving tuition classes to avoid asking for any pocket money from my parents. Being in a Tier 3 college, I knew only a few companies were going to visit for campus placement. I have to work hard to get a job. I used to learn to code using platforms like Hackerrank, CodeChef, and HackerEarth, I started learning from the basics. I learned all the required skills that a company looks for like making one coding language my strength and communication skills. And then comes the time for campus placement. I got the job offer. Not one but from four MNCs - LTI, Cognizant, TCS, and Wipro. I joined LTI.So with proper dedication and hard work, you can achieve anything in this universe. This way, I came to the place where I am today.
Application story
I got the offer from on-campus placements. All information for applying in the drive was mailed to us by the college authority. Before registering they conducted a pre-placement talk where they cleared all the eligibility criteria, mode of the test, and phases. We got a reality check that we have to work hard to get into it. LTI examines a candidate thoroughly throughout the hiring process. The candidates at LTI need to undergo the following rounds and pass all of them to be considered for the job opening: Online Assessment Technical Interview Rounds HR Rounds All of the above rounds are eliminative and you must successfully clear all of them to be considered for the role. Round 1-Online Assessment: The first stage in the hiring process is to take an online assessment test. Those who pass this round will be invited to the technical interview rounds. The exam is divided into seven sections. The following is a detailed online test pattern for the LTI recruitment process: Quantitative Aptitude MCQ (10 questions/10 minutes): This part has 10 medium-level questions about profit and loss, ages, time and work, speed, distance, and time, among other topics. If you are good at Mathematics, this section will be a piece of cake for you. You can brush up on fundamental mathematics for this section. MCQs on logical reasoning (10 questions/10 minutes): This part has ten medium-level questions about blood relations, directions, artificial language, visual reasoning, syllogism, and other topics. You just need to be alert and calm while solving these questions. Also, time management in these types of questions plays a key role. Do not spend too much time on a single question. If you are stuck on a particular question, consider moving to the next question. You might revisit the question later if time permits. Verbal Reasoning MCQ (10 questions/10 minutes): This section generally contains 10 questions of a moderate difficulty level. The questions are centered on prepositions, basic grammar such as error detection, and choosing one word for a sentence, among other things. Technical MCQ (20 questions, 20 minutes): This section generally contains 20 questions that are similarly of a low difficulty level and are designed to assess your basic technical knowledge. You can expect questions from CS fundamental subjects like Object Oriented Programming (OOPs), DataBase Management Systems (DBMS), Operating Systems (OS), Computer Networks (CN), and so on. Prepare these subjects well and brush up on the concepts before you appear for the assessment. Coding Question (1 question/ 45 minutes): This section generally consists of 1 coding question to be solved in 45 minutes. The difficulty level of the question is generally medium. You should have a thorough practice of Data Structures and Algorithms for this section. You can also use our programming section to prepare for this round. On each topic, we've compiled a detailed list of frequently asked coding questions. This will assist you in answering all of the crucial coding questions before taking a coding assessment. This link will take you to our programming section. Round 2 - Technical Interview Rounds: Candidates who clear the online assessment are called for technical interview rounds. Your technical skills are evaluated during a technical interview, which is usually related to the technical knowledge required for the position and the company you wish to work for. The questions will put your problem-solving and numerical reasoning skills to the test. As a result, in the Technical Round, the interviewer will assess you based on your: Technical Expertise and problem-solving skills. IQ Quotient Projects and your past work experiences The technical face-to-face interview is the most crucial step in the process. You should be familiar with computer science concepts such as Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs), DataBase Management Systems (DBMS), Operating Systems (OS), and Computer Networks (CN), and be able to explain them to the interviewer. It is necessary to be familiar with a programming language. Make sure you know at least one programming language. You do not need to be fluent in all programming languages, but at least one, such as C++, Java, or Python, should be acquainted with you. Your problem-solving talents will also be evaluated by the interviewer. You'll be asked about your previous projects and work experiences, including what you did, what technology you utilized, what you developed, and how successful you were. There may also be questions concerning the CV and the firm. Candidates at LTI usually need to undergo 1 round of technical interviews. However, the number of technical round interviews may vary depending on your performance in the first round of interviews. Round 3 - HR Interview Round: The HR round will be held for students who have passed the technical interview. HR interviews are used to identify whether or not an applicant is qualified for the position and how well they will fit into the company's culture. Expect questions on work experience, educational qualifications, interests, and family background, in addition to the standard HR questions about strengths and flaws, reasons for applying to the company, why you should be recruited, and so on. They can also inquire about LTI's history, including when it was started, its objectives, principles, and goals, as well as its organizational structure. Most candidates assume that the HR interview is simple, but keep in mind that even if you have cleared all other hurdles, a poor HR interview can endanger your chances of getting the job. Maintaining a nice and confident demeanor is the goal. Remember to smile throughout interviews because they can be long and tedious. The following are the most frequently asked questions: Tell me about yourself. What are some of your strengths and weaknesses? What is your motivation for wanting to work at LTI? What value do you bring to LTI, and how do you envision yourself contributing to the world while you're here? For these types of questions, make sure to go through the mission and vision of the company. This will help you to frame your answer aligning with the principles of the company. Ninja on his way to home found ‘N’ tokens on the ground arranged in a line horizontally. Each token has some number written on it.

Ninja wants to count the longest subsequence of the tokens with a “Zig-Zag” arrangement.

A subsequence is a sequence that can be derived from another sequence by deleting some or no elements without changing the order of the remaining elements.

Note :
A “Zig-Zag” arrangement is an arrangement where the differences between successive numbers on tokens strictly alternate between positive and negative integers.

Example :

“3 8 5 9 4 7 2 6” is a “Zig-Zag” arrangement as the differences “5 -3 4 -5 3 -5 4” alternates between positive and negative.
Note :
The first difference (if one exists) may be either positive or negative.

Your task is to help Ninja in finding the longest subsequence of “Zig-Zag” arrangement of tokens.

Given a singly linked list of 'N' nodes. The objective is to determine the middle node of a singly linked list. However, if the list has an even number of nodes, we return the second middle node.

Note:
1. If the list is empty, the function immediately returns None because there is no middle node to find.
2. If the list has only one node, then the only node in the list is trivially the middle node, and the function returns that node.

Coding problem2

In the Technical round, he asked me about 2 years bond and relocation. He also asked me about oops concepts like Encapsulation, Can we call C++ an oops, etc?

My friends were asked about dbms questions like the difference between clustering and non-clustering database, and local and global variables. So you should be prepared accordingly. While explaining to the interviewer, be confident and speak whatever you know about the concept. I also did the same. He also asked me HR questions in the Technical round like Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years? hobbies? So in the technical rounds also, they were checking your communication skills.

In your resume, you should be confident about the points you mentioned in the resume. Don’t put anything which you don’t know. The technical round was easy for me to crack as I explained each and every concept to him very clearly.

HR round was a cakewalk. It was stressful and the panel also was friendly. She asked about relocation and bonds again. Don’t say No to any of their condition about the night shift or location or bond. Otherwise, you will simply reject yourself at that point. She asked about my interview experience and the technologies I learned during the lockdown. Just be confident and talk genuinely and politely with your HR.

The only way you get rejected in the HR round is that either you didn’t speak a single word or you abused HR. Just speak and get yourself placed in LTI.

The overall interview process was good. Hope this article will help you to crack LTI interviews.

1. Basic HR Questions
