You are given an array/list ARR of integers and a positive integer ‘K’. Your task is to find two non-overlapping subarrays (contiguous) each of length ‘K’ such that the total sum of these subarrays is maximum.

For Example:
If you are given ARR = [2, 5, 1, 2, 7, 3, 0] and K = 2, the output is 17.

We can choose non-overlapping subarrays [2, 5] and [7, 3] to get a total sum of 17 (i.e. 2 + 5 + 7 + 3) which is the maximum possible sum.

You can assume that the array will always contain at least two non-overlapping subarrays with size ‘K’. So, the answer will always exist.

You have been given string 'S' of length 'N' that may contain duplicate alphabets. Your task is to return the count of distinct subsequences of it.

For example:

For the given string “deed” :
The possible subsequences are {“”}, {“d”}, {“e”}, {“de”}, {“e”}, {“de”}, {“ee”}, {“dee”}, {“d”}, {“dd”}, {“ed”}, {“ded”}, {“ed”}, {“ded”}, {“eed”} and {“deed”}.

As, {“d”}, {“e”}, {“de”}, {“ed”} and {“ded”} are repeated.

The distinct subsequences are {“”}, {“d”}, {“e”}, {“de”}, {“ee”}, {“dee”}, {“dd”}, {“ed”}, {“ded”}, {“eed”} and {“deed”}

Thus, the output will be 11.

Note:

As the answer can be large, return your answer modulo 10^9 + 7.

You have been given two integer arrays/list(ARR1 and ARR2) of size N and M, respectively. You need to print their intersection; An intersection for this problem can be defined when both the arrays/lists contain a particular value or to put it in other words, when there is a common value that exists in both the arrays/lists.

Note :
Input arrays/lists can contain duplicate elements.

The intersection elements printed would be in the order they appear in the first array/list(ARR1)

You have been given a non-empty grid consisting of only 0s and 1s. You have to find the number of islands in the given grid.

An island is a group of 1s (representing land) connected horizontally, vertically or diagonally. You can assume that all four edges of the grid are surrounded by 0s (representing water).

This was EM round, started with me explaining my projects in deep and facing some counter questions on that, proceeded to os, dbms basic questions and some low level designing and lastly a puzzle to end interview.

1. System Design Question

Design attendance management system

Problem approach

Tip 1 : Start by asking questions on that and give a basic overview of what you will do in that.
Tip 2 : Make classes and functions and name them correctly to get brownie points.
Tip 3 : Thoroughly learn OOPS

2. Puzzle

On an Island, there is an airport that has an unlimited number of identical air-planes. Each air-plane has a fuel capacity to allow it to fly exactly 1/2 way around the world, along a great circle. The planes have the ability to refuel in flight without loss of speed or spillage of fuel. Though the fuel is unlimited, the island is the only source of fuel. You can ignore the time and fuel consumption of refuelling.
What is the minimum number of air-planes required to get one air plane all the way around the world assuming that all of the air planes must return safely to the airport?
