Journey
It was mostly based on a hackathon, then an interview. So, basic knowledge is required, like DSA, OOPS, and also a need to have knowledge about development. Communication skills matter a lot, and most importantly, the managerial round is very important.
Application story
Applied through campus, got shortlisted based on CGPA. The top 48 candidates were chosen, and 8 teams were formed for a hackathon conducted over a 24-hour period. Following the hackathon and evaluation, the top 4 teams were selected, and all interviewees were chosen from these teams. There were three interview rounds: the first was technical, the second was managerial, and the final one was HR.
Why selected/rejected for the role?
Technical knowledge mattered, but the manager asked some tricky questions, and I think I answered them satisfactorily. Moreover, HR-related questions were asked in the company, so I feel that it helped.

You will be given ‘Q’ queries. You need to implement a queue using two stacks according to those queries. Each query will belong to one of these three types:

1 ‘X’: Enqueue element ‘X’ into the end of the nth queue. Returns true after the element is enqueued.

2: Dequeue the element at the front of the nth queue. Returns -1 if the queue is empty, otherwise, returns the dequeued element.
Note:
Enqueue means adding an element to the end of the queue, while Dequeue means removing the element from the front of the queue.

It was an HR round. The HR was very friendly and just be sure you should know what you are saying. The preplacement talk is very necessary for these rounds.

1. Basic HR Questions

  1. Can you introduce yourself?
  2. How many members are there in your family?
  3. What does your father do?
  4. What are your hobbies?
  5. What are your interests?
  6. Do you have a preferred location, and if so, why?
  7. Are you ready to relocate to any location?
  8. What do you like most about the company?
  9. How was the pre-placement talk?
  10. Do you have any questions for me?
Problem approach

Tip 1: This is the easiest round, but don't say anything that comes to your mind; curate your answer properly.

Tip 2: Gather a few pieces of information about the company and make them understand how it aligns with your interests. The pre-placement talk will help a lot.

Tip 3: Always try to answer in such a way that you can justify it, and ask questions.
