Journey
My interview preparation was a great learning experience. I focused on practicing SQL queries, data analysis problems, and revising key concepts. Regular practice, working on projects, and taking mock interviews helped me strengthen my skills, improve problem-solving, and gain confidence to perform well in the actual interviews.

Coding problem1

1. SQL Query

The interviewer asked me to explain the difference between HAVING and WHERE clauses. I was also asked to show the output for LEFT JOIN and INNER JOIN, and solve three queries based on aggregation — one involving a subquery in the HAVING clause and another with WHERE conditions on multiple criteria.

Problem approach
  • First Query: I analyzed the table and applied GROUP BY along with a HAVING condition to filter the aggregated results.
  • Second Query: I joined two tables using an INNER JOIN and incorporated a subquery in the HAVING clause to filter the grouped data.
  • Third Query: I used a WHERE clause with the AND operator to filter data based on multiple criteria.
