I did my bachelor in Computer science from Delhi university and was Master in computer applications from the University of Hyderabad
Along with it, I have mentored participants in Contributor's Hack which is a small-scale open source event.
I have a decent experience with python and have good command over some other languages as well.
I picked up web development during the lockdown and learned quite new things every day. My love for python over other languages made me try Django. And I applied for GSoC the following year.
So, I have been a part of GSoC both as a participant and a mentor which helped my development skills.
All of this helped me in cracking the interview for Spinny.
Application story
I applied on Cuvette for the Backend developer intern role at Spinny and received an email from them a week later. I have been interested in Development rather than competitive coding from the beginning.
My interview experience was quite simple. They sent me a web-development assignment that I was supposed to complete over the weekend.
I received a confirmation email after they gave my submission a green signal. After this, I had a one-on-one call with the CTO where I had to give a brief introduction about myself following the explanation and thought process about the assignment. I received the offer letter minutes after the call.
My 6 months intern role was converted into a full-time role after the said period.
Why selected/rejected for the role?
I was selected for the role because I had decent open-source experience back then. Also, I followed a container approach for the project.

Tip 1 : Focus either on development or on competitive coding depending on your interest
Tip 2 : Explore various developer events for a quick phase learning
Tip 3 : Do a lot of projects and write at least one library.

Given an array/list of integer numbers 'CHOCOLATES' of size 'N', where each value of the array/list represents the number of chocolates in the packet. There are ‘M’ number of students and the task is to distribute the chocolate to their students. Distribute chocolate in such a way that:
1. Each student gets at least one packet of chocolate.
2. The difference between the maximum number of chocolate in a packet and the minimum number of chocolate in a packet given to the students is minimum.
Example :
Given 'N' : 5 (number of packets) and 'M' : 3 (number of students)
And chocolates in each packet is : {8, 11, 7, 15, 2}
All possible way to distribute 5 packets of chocolates among 3 students are -
( 8,15, 7 ) difference of maximum-minimum is ‘15 - 7’ = ‘8’
( 8, 15, 2 ) difference of maximum-minimum is ‘15 - 2’ = ‘13’
