Interview preparation journey

Journey
First, there was an online test which had MCQs, both aptitude and English questions. Three thousand members took the exam in our college, and based on the test, they shortlisted 100 members for the interview. In the first round of the technical interview, they asked some basic academic questions, some DSA questions (because I said I am good in DSA with Java), and also some OOP concept questions. Then they asked some finance-related questions. After that, they shortlisted around 50 members for round 2 from the 100. It was basically an HR round; they asked some basic HR questions and some aptitude questions, and they selected 25 people. I was selected.
Application story
I applied for this company through my campus placements. First, there is a test, and if you pass it, there are 2 interviews: technical and HR.
Why selected/rejected for the role?
I answered all the questions asked well, and I was confident throughout both interviews. The HR questions are also important; we think they are not, but they played a key role for me. I answered them well.

Tip

Tip 1: Be strong with the basics; at the last moment, don't go for new topics.
Tip 2: Coming to DSA, practice all the questions on Coding Ninjas on your own; don't directly see the answers.
Tip 3: Be confident in the interview; whatever the interviewer asks, answer confidently.
Tip 4: Don't fake with the interviewer; this is very important.

You have been given a sorted (lexical order) dictionary of an alien language.

Write a function that returns the order of characters as a string in the alien language. This dictionary will be given to you as an array of strings called 'dictionary', of size 'N'.

Example :
If the dictionary consists of the following words:-
["caa", "aaa", "aab"], and 'K' is 3.

Then, the order of the alphabet is -
['c', 'a', 'b']
Note:
If the language consists of four letters, the four letters should be the starting four letters of the English language.

However, their order might differ in the alien language.

Ninja is learning a new but strange language known as Alien Language. Alien language possesses the same alphabets as of English language, but their order is different. The order of letters are given as ‘ORDER’ string. Ninja has ‘N’ words in the ‘WORDS’ array. Ninja’s task is to check whether the words of ‘WORDS’ are sorted lexicographically in this alien language or not.

Note: ‘ORDER’ consists of all 26 letters of English alphabet.

For Example
If ‘WORDS’ = ["word","world","row"], ‘ORDER’ = "worldabcefghijkmnpqstuvxyz",the answer will be ‘NO’ as first and second words are not lexicographically sorted as ‘l’ comes before ‘d’ in alien language.
