Ninja has been given two sorted integer arrays/lists ‘ARR1’ and ‘ARR2’ of size ‘M’ and ‘N’. Ninja has to merge these sorted arrays/lists into ‘ARR1’ as one sorted array. You may have to assume that ‘ARR1’ has a size equal to ‘M’ + ‘N’ such that ‘ARR1’ has enough space to add all the elements of ‘ARR2’ in ‘ARR1’.

For example:

‘ARR1’ = [3 6 9 0 0]
‘ARR2’ = [4 10]
After merging the ‘ARR1’ and ‘ARR2’ in ‘ARR1’.
‘ARR1’ = [3 4 6 9 10]

You are given an array 'ARR' of 'N' positive integers. You need to find the minimum number of operations needed to make all elements of the array equal. You can perform addition, multiplication, subtraction or division with any element on an array element.

Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication or Division on any element of the array will be considered as a single operation.

Example:

If the given array is [1,2,3] then the answer would be 2. One of the ways to make all the elements of the given array equal is by adding 1 to the array element with value 1 and subtracting 1 from the array element with value 3. So that final array would become [2,2,2].

Coding problem2

It was a pure technical round based on thorough understanding of CS fundamentals like Data structures,OS,C/c++. The interviewer was energetic and was quiet friendly . The round started typically with tell me about yourself question (Be prepared). After that he asked me 2 puzzles

1. Puzzle

The Two Water Jug Puzzle

Problem approach

Fill the m litre jug and empty it into n liter jug.
Whenever the m liter jug becomes empty fill it.
Whenever the n liter jug becomes full empty it.
Repeat steps 1,2,3 till either n liter jug or the m liter jug contains d litres of water.

2. Puzzle

A man has a medical condition that requires him to take two kinds of pills, call them A and B. The man must take exactly one A pill and exactly one B pill each day, or he will die. The pills are taken by first dissolving them in water.

Problem approach

The person should add pill A in the glass of water.
Now, the person can boil the solution in a jar and water will get evaporated. Thus, the residue of the medicine will be left.
Now he can take half of the residue, which will be equivalent to a single day dosage (1 Pill A + 1 Pill B) and take the rest tomorrow.

Here's your problem of the day

Solving this problem will increase your chance to get selected in this company
