I started my journey from Capgemini as a fresher in SAP Analytics cloud (SAC). Once I completed 2 years in Capgemini in SAC with hands on creating dashboards and analytical applications as a part of development project for a pharmaceutical client, I started searching for jobs in field of SAC for career growth. I tried to search for opportunities via LinkedIn and other hiring platform and landed this opportunity in VW group.
Application story
I found this job vacancy from LinkedIn. I applied for it. After few days interview was conducted and after clearing the technical interview round , MR round was conducted and then the HR round. I got the offer letter after clearing all the three rounds.
Why selected/rejected for the role?
I cleared the technical interview round and the Managerial interview round. My basic concepts of all the topics that I have mentioned were clear and I also prepared for the managerial round questions. I practised all the SAC questions before interview. I explained my role and tasks in my projects clearly and appropriately to the interviewer.

Topics: SAC (Models, Dimensions, Stories, Connections, Data Actions), SAC Features and Upgrades, Widgets and their properties, Scripting (JavaScript)
Tip 1: Go through the basics of SAC.
Tip 2: Prepare for SAC planning topics.
Tip 3: Prepare for the scripting part in SAC.

This was a online technical interview round. It happened at around 2:00 pm in the afternoon. The interviewer first asked to introduce myself and later asked me to explain my project in detail. Then he asked the challenges faced by me while working in the project and what solutions I provided to resolve thode challenges. He also asked about my role in the project and contribution in the project. He asked about the years of experience I have and which modules of SAC I am aware of.
1. SAC
- Types of connections in SAC.
- What is new model and how is better than classic model?
- What is linked analysis?
- Can you create a single story on two models? If yes then can it have different data sources?
- What is data action and multi actions?
- Why is Data locking done in model and how it is done?
- Types of measures and what is restricted measure?
- What are different types of charts and widgets available in SAC?
- What is data unbooking?
- How to create bookmarks and commentary?
- What are different types of hierarchy available in SAC?
- What is data transformation and different types of transforms that can be performed on dataset?
- What is the difference between dataset and model?
2. Scripting problem
What script can be written if you want to link table to the drop-down?
3. Scripting Problem
What script can be written if you want to perform LinkedIn analysis between chart and table, if you cannot use the standard LinkedIn analysis feature available.

It was the Managerial round which was conducted by the manager of the project in which I would be working if selected.
The interviewer started the interview by asking me to introduce myself and give few description about my roles and responsibilities in my project.
Then he asked me why I want to leave my current organization and join another organization.
Then he asked me what are my strengths and weaknesses and why he should hire me.
Later he asked me few questions like:
1. What was the methodology used in your project.
2. Consider one scenario, if you created two dashboards and you want to navigate to the second dashboard from the first dashboard then how can you achieve it .
3. Have you worked on technical documentation. Why is it created?
4. Have you worked on the security and data access part of SAC?
5. How many tenants you have in your current project and what is the basic difference between them?
