ZS was the first company that came to our campus and recruited 10-12 students out of a batch of 500+. The interview process was a 5 round extensive process which tested the candidate on multiple skills such as problem solving, aptitude and communication.
Application story
ZS was the first company that came on our campus for 3 roles - data science, decision analytics and business technology. There were 3 rounds, the first round was MCQ based online aptitude test, which was for the duration of 60 minutes. Post that we had a case study round with discussion and then a personal interview with one of ZS managers. The process concluded with a final HR Interview.
Why selected/rejected for the role?
Communication skills and problem solving attitude is what they look for in the candidates. They also want the candidate to align to the core company values. I was aligned on these parameters and hence was selected.

The online test was proctored. It consisted of 60 MCQ questions which were to be solved in an hour. The level of questions was not very difficult.

In a plane, S lines of lengths 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 cm are lying. What is the probability that by joining the three randomly chosen lines end to end a triangle cannot be formed?

This was a case study round where we were given a case study and were asked to solve detailed questions related to it. Post that there was a case study discussion on our answers and the approach to them.

1. Optimizing Expansion Strategy for a Pharma Company: A Case Study Analysis

A detailed question was given highlighting the data of a pharma company which wanted to set up another unit in a city. Data given included month on month sales etc.

The key was to read the graphs carefully, understand the hints and have the right approach.

2. Forecasting Sales Performance for Future Quarters : A Case Study Analysis

The question involved predicting the sales of the company for the next quarter based on their previous sales and the factors involved
