Amazon Interview Questions: A Fresher’s Interview Experience
My Amazon interview took place at Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering & Technology, Hyderabad or GRIET, which is my almamater. It was a placement drive and which multiple companies came over to hire freshers from our college. Amazon was one of these companies.
Summary of my Amazon interview
The interview process was pretty simple for the position of a customer service executive. I cleared all the rounds and finally git selected. I have listed down some important pointers from my Amazon interview experience below.
Profile: Customer Service
Salary: 2.25 lakhs/annum
Rounds: 4
Place: GRIET
Name: Sushma Reddy Revuri
Result: I got selected in this company
Interview Experience in Detail at Amazon
All the questions asked to me in the first round of my Amazon interview were logic based.
In case you would like to work for Amazon too, please read and prepare all the interview questions I was asked. These are commonly asked Amazon interview questions for freshers who are applying for non-technical profiles.
- What is the most difficult situations you have ever faced in your life? How did you handle them?
- How do you feel Amazon Kindle books should be priced?
- Who was your most difficult teacher or professor?
- What would you do if you found out your closest friend at work was a kleptomaniac?
- If your direct manager instructed you to do something you disagreed with, how would you handle it?
- What would you do if you saw someone doing unsafe things at work like smoking or lighting fire?
- Do you think you would ever storm off the floor and never return back to work?
Apart from the above questions, some of the most crucial questions I faced are the oned below. My hiring manager bombarded them to me while conducting my Amazon Interview.
- Do you know our CEO? How do you pronounce his name?
Answer: Jeff Bezos is the CEO of Amazon and that’s how I pronounce his name. - How would you solve Amazon’s customer problems if you were from Mars?
Answer: If I were on Mars, anything related to earth would be alien to me! Hence it would be impossible for me to get into exploitative research to determine cause, effects, and preferred solutions to customer problems. - Tell the story of the last time you had to apologize to someone.
Answer: I had to apologize to my room-mate this morning for wearing her favorite top to a party last night, without her permission!
By and large, all the questions were interesting. Still I would advice all my juniors to practice previous year placement papers for various companies and not just Amazon. Only then you can crack any placement drive that you attend. All the best!
