Electrical Engineer by Education and Technical Recruiter by Profession
Company: IBM India
Profile: SAP BW Consultant
Salary: Rs.3,40,000 PA
Just have enough confidence and prepare what you are good at and also give a shot to what you are not good at. Most HRs just appreciate your zeal to learn more even if you tried something out of your league. This doesn’t matter whether you succeeded or not. It’s enough for them if you tried.
There were 3 Rounds:
Aptitude Test– The 1st round is Aptitude test in most Companies, so keep a good hold on it specially reasoning and number series.
English– Comprising Professional Communication and some general English questions like word meaning, find errors, etc.
Face to Face– Mixed bag of technical and HR questions. Basic Technical questions from the things written in your CV and on you final year project.
I was working as a Technical Recruiter before applying in this company. During Face to Face interview, the interviewer asked me “Tell me something about yourself”, so I started with usual BLAH BLAH BLAH….. and ended with “I am an Electrical Engineer by education and a Technical Recruiter by Profession”.
So the interviewer gazed at me and then laughed loudly and said “Now this situation is weird. On both sides of the Table there are Recruiters sitting, so who should ask the question?” Then we both laughed and I said, “No sir, you please carry on.” and thus, went so on with the interview.
