Hitachi: A Fresher’s Placement Interview Experience

I applied for the position of an IT Consultant at Hitachi through my college or university. Application process for this position took about a month through the placement cell.

Hitachi company fresher interview summary

Below is a summary of the entire interview process that I attended. It was an on-campus drive which took place in my college in Nagpur. About 100 students had participated in the same.

Details of my Hitachi Consulting interview

The online test was quite sorted and I was able to solve most of the questions. I had practiced in advance but I had not worked on my style of solving the questions.

Technical round of Hitachi Consulting interview

In my Hitachi technical round, most of the questions were based on my branch or area of expertise. Since the company is into IT consulting like TCS or Accenture, questions were mostly based on computer science and software fundamental. If you have basic programming knowledge as well as some theoretical exposure, you will get recruited in the drive.

In your written test, please be prepared to face a paper with questions based on your branch/group. Prepare programming basics and puzzles in computer languages like C++ or Java.

In this round, we faced total 30 Questions and were allocated 40 Minutes to compete it.

English round of Hitachi Consulting interview

My English test at Hitachi was clubbed with an Aptitude section which comprised of 40 Questions. We were allocated 50 Minutes to complete this test.

Takeaway from Hitachi consulting placement experience

Note: Overall in your Hitachi placement interview test, be prepared to face 70 Questions. You have to finish the paper in 90 Minutes.
