Hyundai Mobis Placement Interview Questions and Experience
Company: Hyundai Mobis
Profile: GET or Graduate Engineer Trainee
Salary: 3 Lakhs per annum
Number of rounds: 3
Result: I was not selected
The Interview and Rounds in Detail
I applied for the GET opening at Hyundai Mobis through my college. My college uses FirstNaukri.com for placements. The complete Hyundai Mobis placement test comprised of 3 different rounds namely Aptitude Test, Technical Interview(s), and finally the HR round.
“Mention Hyundai Mobis Interview rounds where you were asked interesting questions:”
I would like to share some questions from the quants and verbal rounds that I found interesting.
Quantitative Aptitude
It has some basic level questions. I am good in mathematics and am strong in aptitude, hence I could crack this round. I concentrated more on adjusting my time smartly to score the maximum marks. A few more topics that I still remember were based on:
# Percentages
# Number system
# Permutations
# Probability
The good part is there is no negative marking. Hence, attempt every question.
Verbal Reasoning
Basic English language application skills involved Grammar and its usage. It also tested my vocabulary, word lists.and more were tested. All questions were compulsory to answer.
“The most interesting question faced in Hyundai HR Interview round”
My interviewer asked, ‘Describe about yourself’and I was taken aback.
This question is almost invariably asked in every interview, and just as invariably answered dismally! What does one say and why do we always seem so flustered by this question every time we face it? The reason is unknown.
It’s not surprising that a huge majority of freshers begin the answer with a stammer and a blush, almost instantly changing from flash to foolish and thereby ruining their chances of employment. So, how can we tackle this one? What do we say?
Try and answer this question as it comes. Most disconcerted candidates dread this question and begin with a silly “Basically, my name is …”. Why don’t we realize that our CV is there right in front of the Hyundai Mobis recruiter, and he knows all about us already. By repeating the stuff that fills our CV, we just demonstrate that we are ‘in-the-box’, with little if any skills left for innovation and presentation.
Actually, a question of this kind is an ideal way to plug in everything we want to say about ourselves that we had to leave out of the CV. If you have attended a premier institution, say that the institution taught you much more than the degree it awarded you. Do not forget to mention people who actually influenced you, talk about the books you like reading, your hobbies and your other interests. Talk about your strengths; perhaps mention an instance when you used your conflict resolution skills or selling skills. But ensure that it does not sound like blowing your own trumpet.
Mention these instances as learning. Talk about your weaknesses, but make sure that they are ‘positive’ weaknesses. For instance, you could say that that you sometimes pay more attention to detail than is warranted. You can openly confess a tendency to be impatient with team members who cannot carry their own weight.
“What are the questions you faced in the technical round of your Hyundai interview?”
I got the questions related to my project regarding open and closed loop of a control system.
Special tricks to crack the Hyundai placement interview

That’s all from my Interview Experience at Hyundai Mobis. All the best!
