REMARKS
Please mention your remarks on the Group Discussion process. (Topic, Duration, No. of Members)
Group discussion was the 1st stage of selection process. The topic of my group was ‘Child Marriage: Good or Bad for the society’. Our GD was lasted for about 15-20 mins. & there were total of 6 members in my group, in which 5 were boys & 1 single girl. Company had come for campus placement in my institute & i.e. Invertis Institute, Bareilly.
What went right for you at different stages of the process?
At 1st stage i.e. GD, everything was good for me, because as soon as we are asked to start our discussion, I grabbed the chance & started my GD. That was very relaxing for me, after this all started to discuss their views. I entered twice more in discussion in the middle to make feel my important presence among all. In the end, I again got opportunity to give an effective conclusion of the whole discussion. So finally the complete GD was happened in a right way for me.
What went wrong for you at different stages of the process?
It was the 1st stage of personal interview. There were 2 interviewers in front of me. First of all problem arose when I carried out my all documents in a folder on which a logo of some other securities’ company was fixed. It gave them a chance of cross-questioning. So they questioned me: ‘Why are you here when you are showing us that you are interested in some other company’. That question made a big chaos for me & then I lost my whole concentration, since it was not done intentionally.
In the 2nd question they asked me about my family background. Actually in my resume my present address was my friend’s address of Ghaziabad. It was just because of getting more & more interview calls by Delhi & NCR employers & at that time I was in Bareilly. So just because of my lost concentration & some nervousness I told many thing wrong about my family background. I told them that I live in Ghaziabad with my mother & sister, while my mother live in my hometown. Then they asked about my sister, I replied about my married sister that she is pursuing BBA from one of Ghaziabad’s college. Later I felt very awkward about all these nerd answers, but I decided that now I will stick to my these foolishness & I again regained my lost concentration & my much needed confidence. Finally when result declared, I was so happy that I was in the list of selected students.
Any suggestions/ dos & don’ts/ special preparation tips for your juniors:
First of all feel free & confident because it is not a war or like that which make you nervous. It is just like a conversation when you meet any person first time & he/she wants to know more & more about you in lesser time.
One more thing is that whatever you speaking in your interview just stick to that like gum & tell those things very confidently. No one will catch you. If somebody catches you, he/she will absolutely like your confidence for proving yourself right.
