Hi everyone, Nimisha Mishra here! Today, I’m thrilled to share my experience interviewing for the Content Acquisition Executive role at Info Edge India Ltd. (2015). This was a fantastic opportunity for anyone passionate about content creation and working in a dynamic tech environment.

For those aiming for similar roles at Info Edge or other content-driven companies, this article will give you a sneak peek into the interview process, the kind of questions you can expect, and some helpful tips to shine during your interview.

About Info Edge India Ltd.

Info Edge is a leading internet company in India, housing popular platforms like Naukri.com, Zomato, and 99acres. Their Content Acquisition team plays a crucial role in curating high-quality content for these platforms.

So, if you’re someone who thrives on creating engaging content and keeping up with the digital space, Info Edge could be your dream destination!

The Interview Process at Info Edge

The Info Edge content acquisition executive interview process typically consists of three rounds:

Round 1: Online Assessment (Aptitude & Content Writing)

The first step involved an online assessment that tested my basic aptitude skills like reasoning, logic, and vocabulary. This was followed by a content writing section where I had to write a short piece on a given topic.

Tips: Brush up on your general aptitude skills through online resources or practice tests. For the writing section, choose a topic you’re comfortable with and showcase your ability to craft clear, concise, and engaging content.

Round 2: Telephonic Interview (Content & Communication Skills)

This round focused on assessing my content creation and communication skills. The interviewer asked questions about:

  • My experience with content creation (past projects, writing styles)
  • My knowledge of Info Edge’s platforms and target audience
  • My understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) principles
  • My communication skills and ability to articulate ideas clearly

Tips: Research Info Edge’s various platforms and their content strategy. Familiarize yourself with SEO best practices. Practice answering common interview questions about content creation and communication. Be confident and articulate your responses clearly and concisely.

Round 3: Face-to-Face Interview (In-Depth Discussion & Role-play)

The final round was an in-person interview with a panel comprising the hiring manager and a senior member of the Content Acquisition team. This round was more in-depth, focusing on my understanding of the role and my suitability for the team. Here are some of the key questions asked:

  • My approach to content ideation and research for specific Info Edge platforms
  • My experience in content scheduling and managing deadlines
  • My ability to adapt writing styles to different audiences
  • A role-play scenario where I had to pitch a content idea to the panel

Tips: Research the specific role and responsibilities of a Content Acquisition Executive at Info Edge. Prepare examples from your experience that demonstrate your skills in content creation, research, and project management. Be prepared to discuss your thought process and how you approach content creation.

During the role-play, present your ideas with confidence and enthusiasm.

The Outcome: Selected!

After a few days of waiting, I received the fantastic news – I had been selected for the role of Content Acquisition Executive at Info Edge! It was a truly enriching experience, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with such a dynamic team.
