Therefore, we need different and firm verification methods like retinal scans, facial scans, etc.

Privacy and data protection

Is the metaverse another clever ploy by tech giants to mine more data? We often hear about some tech gaints having a data breach. Submerging into the metaverse will require evolving security methods to a completely new level. The technology needs to ass information privacy and personal data security for every user.

Law and Jurisdiction

Where there is anonymity, there is a rise in social crimes. Metaverse Will involve large numbers of users together, providing users a good opportunity to connect and exchange, and share knowledge. However, at the same time, it makes users vulnerable in case there are no laws that regulate the boundaries. That means the countries and authorities need to figure out their jurisdiction to assure a safe space for the users.

Mental Health

Addiction to metaverse could be dangerous. This will not only lead to mental problems like depression and anxiety but could lead to concerning health issues like heart problems and obesity, etc. Diving deep into the metaverse can lead to being cut from the physical world, and this implies living in our own data bubble.

The full immersion could unknowingly lead users to spend more and more time inside the virtual world. There is a probability that the sense of time will get distorted.
