Do you think IIT Guwahati certified course can help you in your career?

Introduction

We have already explained in our previous article about the Metaverse. We have also discussed Metaverse with blockchain, but we will be discussing Web 3.0 in Metaverse. Without further ado, let's jump to our topic.

Web 3.0

Web 3.0 is a term of the internet for the next generation. It can be the evolution of how users would be able to control and own their creations and online content. The Web which we are experiencing is 2.0. In Web 2.0, creators cannot control and monetize their content.

In Web 3.0, the user can create and control while owning the content to monetize them through the implementation of blockchain and cryptocurrency. Blockchain can enable users to interact with online services governed by a peer-to-peer network.

What is a Metaverse

Web 3.0 mainly focuses on who will own the internet, and the Metaverse centers on how the users will experience the internet in the future. Most of us use smartphones and tablets to navigate the app and websites. In Metaverse, we will use virtual reality (VR) to enter the internet tomorrow. Each of these virtual worlds is a Metaverse.

The Metaverse is a combinatorial innovation because it operates on numerous technologies and trends. Augmented reality (AR), flexible work methods, head-mounted displays (HMDs), an AR cloud, the Internet of Things (IoT), 5G, artificial intelligence (AI), and spatial technologies are all contributing tech capabilities.

Web 3.0 and Metaverse

While the Metaverse and Web 3.0 we observe aren't the same things, they also aren't competing for the future. Either of them will be the outcome, or there will be some overlap between them.

There is also a possibility that the internet we experience today is through computers and smartphones rather than VR headsets. If Metaverse comes into action, it could be centralized like Web 2.0 or decentralized like Web 3.0. In Web 3.0, the user can sell their data to advertisers.

Semantic Web

The Semantic Web is a collection of data that have been linked together in such a way that machines rather than humans can process it. It can be thought of as a more advanced version of the existing World Wide Web, and it serves as a helpful data representation tool in the form of a globally linked database. The Semantic Web aims to convert the currently existing Web of unstructured documents into a Web of information/data by allowing semantic content to be included in Web sites.

Tim Berners-Lee invented the phrase "semantic web."

Mobile Technology

The 3.0 design's movable capability is one of its most recognizable features. Since John Markoff coined the term "web 3.0" about seven years ago, web technology has experienced significant improvements in mobile functionality. Wireless Internet has improved, broadband speeds have doubled, the connection has improved, and a wave of new mobile gadgets has entered the market. Many experts believe that the 3.0 interface will continue to enhance mobile access in the future years.

While web specialists debate the qualities of third-generation web technology, the evolution of web 2.0 is straightforward. Web users can now access, move, and produce material on the internet more quickly than before. Technology advances fast, so fast that we may see a "web 4.0" in our lifetimes, with even more powerful and contentious artificial intelligence, robotics, and virtual reality.
