Scheduled Scans Table
The following details are provided in the table on the Scan schedules tab:
👉Name - The name given to the scan.
👉Nodes - The number of nodes needs to be scanned.
👉Start - The day and time the scan is scheduled to begin at the chosen time zone.
👉End - The day and time the scan is expected to end at the chosen time zone.
👉Frequency - How frequently the scan is planned to occur.
👉Last run - It is the date and time of the most recent scan.
👉Status - Whether the scan has finished, has not yet started, or is currently in progress
View Details About a Scheduled Scan
The Scheduled scan detail window allows you to view information about a scheduled scan.
To view information regarding a scheduled scan:
1️⃣Click on scan schedules on the scans page.
2️⃣To view the details of schedule, click on that schedule.
3️⃣Click view detail in the scheduled scan information window.
You can view information about the scan schedule, scan history, and affected nodes on the Scheduled scan detail page.
Pause And Resume a Scheduled Scan
The scheduled scan detail window can be used to stop or resume a scheduled scan.
To pause and resume a scan:
1️⃣Click on scan schedules on the scans page.
2️⃣Select the schedule you want to pause or resume.
3️⃣Click view detail in the scheduled scan information window.
4️⃣Click pause to stop a scheduled scan.
5️⃣Click resume to restart a suspended scan.
A scan can also be stopped by clicking on the end button.
Edit A Scheduled Scan
The Scheduled scan detail window can be used to edit a scheduled scan.
To edit a scheduled scan:
1️⃣Click on scan schedules on the scans page.
2️⃣Choose the schedule you want to edit.
3️⃣Click view detail in the scheduled scan information window.
4️⃣Click on edit details.
5️⃣Update the scan's details in the edit scheduled scan window. For instance, you can alter the type of schedule, the frequency, the start date and time, and the end date and time.
6️⃣Click on submit button to save your changes.
Delete A Scheduled Scan
You can delete a scheduled scan in any state using the scheduled detail window.
1️⃣Click scan schedules on the scans page.
2️⃣Select the schedule you want to delete by clicking.
3️⃣Click view detail in the scheduled scan information window.
4️⃣Click delete.
5️⃣Click delete scheduled scan when you are prompted to confirm the deletion.
Create A One-Off Scheduled Scan
A compliance scan can be set to run only once. Let’s look into the steps for making a one-time scheduled scan:
1️⃣On the scans page, click create a scheduled scan.
2️⃣In the environment field, select the environment and click next.
3️⃣Specify the nodes to scan by selecting the relevant checkboxes and click on next.
4️⃣Set the schedule:
1️⃣Select once only.
2️⃣Specify the date for your scheduled scan.
3️⃣Specify the time and time zone for starting the scheduled scan.
4️⃣Click next.
5️⃣The scheduled scan name field should be filled out with a name, and the description field can optionally be filled out with details. Save the scheduled scan.
The Scheduled scans tab contains a list of the scan schedule information.
Create A Repeating Scheduled Scan
A compliance scan can be scheduled to run repeatedly. Let’s look into the steps for making a repeating scheduled scan:
1️⃣Click on the create a scheduled scan button on the scans page.
2️⃣Select the environment in the environment field and then click next.
3️⃣By checking the appropriate boxes, specify which nodes to scan, then click next.
4️⃣Set the schedule:
1️⃣Select repeating.
2️⃣Choose the desired Frequency:
👉If you choose weekly option, you can choose whether a weekly scan runs on a particular day of the week, every day, only on weekdays, or only on weekends.
👉Choose a day of the month for the scan if you choose the Monthly option.
3️⃣Select the time and timezone.
4️⃣Add an end date.
5️⃣Click next.
5️⃣Enter a name in the name field and enter the information in the description field. And click on save scheduled scan.
The Scheduled scans tab on the Scans page contains a list of the scan schedule information.
